It is never a good idea to store your usernames and passwords on sticky notes and place them all around your monitor, and it is an equally bad idea to write down your usernames and passwords in a notebook. The best choice, from a security point of view, is to use a password manager. Password Manager is an easy to use and convenient password manager that will securely store all your usernames and passwords. It works across multiple computers and mobile devices and it provides a centralized location where you can securely store all your login data.

Password Genie is available for Windows and Mac. The Windows installation file is 8.7MB. The setup wizard that shows up when you run the Password Genie installation file asks you if you want a desktop shortcut, but does not ask you to pick the installation directory. The setup wizard also prompts you to create a Password Genie Master Account that will be used for verification and installation of Password Genie on additional computers, and asks if you want Password Genie to search for and import passwords saved by your browsers.

In most cases, the buttons for an application’s functions are at the top – this is not the case with Password Genie. The buttons for the functionality Password Genie has to offer are placed at the bottom of the interface. The websites button presents the websites for which Password Genie stores your login data. Among the various settings you see when you press the Preferences button, there’s one that lets you auto-lock Password Genie. Click the Browsers button and you will be able to install or uninstall browser extensions. The remaining three buttons from the bottom part of Password Genie’s interface are Mobile, Users, and Support.

When Password Genie is running, when you launch your browser and access an online account, Password Genie will prompt you to save your login data. The application will save your username and password and store it securely for you. You don’t have to remember your usernames and passwords and you don’t have to worry about how secure they are.

The nice thing about Password Genie is that it works across multiple computers and mobile devices (Android, iPhone, iPad) and it can automatically sync your saved logins across all your Password Genie installations. Another nice thing about Password Genie is that it will automatically suggest a password when you create a new login.

Forgotten passwords are a thing of the past and so is worrying about how safe your passwords are. Password Genie is a convenient password manager that remembers all your passwords for you and stores them securely.

Pros

There’s a Windows and a Mac version of Password Genie. It is very easy to set up a Master Account. Password Genie works across multiple computers and devices and syncs your data across all your Password Genie installations. Suggests passwords when you create a new login. Auto populate and auto login features.

Cons

Password Genie is free to use for a 30-day trial.
